⚠️Want to Start TikTok LIVES? Read This First
LIVES aren’t a test. They’re a commitment. Here’s how to start properly.
Over the past few days, we’ve had dozens of brands reach out asking the same thing:
“Can you run LIVES for us?”
“Can we trial TikTok LIVES and see how it goes?”
Here’s my take:
LIVES are not a one-off activation.
They’re a channel. And like any channel, they need consistency, testing, and time to mature.
You’re not going to see results with 1 or 2 casual streams.
It might take 6–8 LIVES at 2–3 hours each just to get traction.
That’s 15–25+ hours of on-camera time—before you see momentum.
And that doesn’t even include planning, briefing, or setup.
So the real question is:
Are you actually willing to commit to this?
🔨 3 Ways to Start Doing LIVES (and What Each Takes)
1. In-House, DIY Setup
All you need:
A quiet space
A ring light
A phone
A person willing to talk for 2+ hours
This is the leanest way to start, but the hardest to stay consistent with.
Most brands give up because they don’t have the internal resource who can show up reliably, drive energy, and sell.
Best if: You’re testing low stakes, have internal talent, or want to learn the ropes firsthand.
2. Outsource to a Full Team
We handle this for our clients.
You get:
A trained host
A full production setup
Stream prep, offer building, execution, and reporting
It’s the highest-converting, lowest-lift option for brands that are serious about making LIVES work—but don’t want to build the infrastructure themselves.
Best if: You want a turnkey system with a clear GMV goal and weekly cadence.
3. Hybrid Model (Train Your Own Host)
You find and train a host (or we help), and run sessions from your own space.
You’ll still need:
A dedicated LIVE room
Kit (lighting, mic, backdrop)
A clear schedule with full ownership
This gives you long-term control without starting from scratch.
Best if: You want ownership but are willing to invest in setup and training.
Final Thought
The brands winning with LIVES aren’t just doing it once or twice.
They’ve made it a weekly channel.
Some are already going live 5–7 days a week.
Others are testing 24/7 rotation models.
So if you're asking, “Can we try this once?Ashley Wright
